Dear Parents,

I look forward to meeting your child on Saturday September 7. My name is Flavia Terradot and this is my first year at Ecole du Samedi. I will be the teacher for the Advanced Levels 1, 2 and 3. We will be in Room 322. I am currently working at the International Charter School Atlanta in Roswell where I teach 2nd grade full immersion in French. I am convinced of the importance of being bilingual in this globalized world and the benefits it brings to develop cognitive skills. I will make sure that your child has a wonderful experience at Ecole du Samedi. I would like to go over the schedule for what is expected every Saturday:

- School starts promptly at 9:30 a.m.and ends at 12:00 p.m. Please wait until 9:25 a.m. before dropping off your child in class.

- From 10:30-11:00 a.m. is recess and snack time;  a snack can be brought from home or can be purchased at the reception table before class starts.

- At 12:00 p.m. please pick up your child in the classroom,  if you happen to come after 12:10 p.m. your child will be by the reception table.- Students are not allowed to bring their breakfast into the classroom. - Students are not allowed to use their cell phones or other electronic devices during the learning hours.

The supplies needed for class are: 3 pencils,  a pack of colored pencils, 2 folders (1 homework & 1 class activities), glue, and scissors. I hope that this will be a fun and successful year. Throughout the year we will be doing a lot of hands on activities, -songs -games -music.Working with your child's homework will help strengthen his/her knowledge of the French language.  Homework will be posted at the official school website.
